Exhibit Explainer Kiosk
Seeing the Room Through LiDAR
This kiosk was installed in September 2026 on a 1920×1080 StanbyME touch screen next to the museum's media-art room. In that room, two LiDAR sensors beside the projector follow visitors: footsteps leave flowing trails on the floor, and a hand swept along the wall leaves a cloud of particles. Visitors often asked which AI model was recognizing them, and the kiosk answers that the input is a cloud of points.
A visitor drags people around a simulated room and steps through Scan, Background subtraction, Find people, Turn into waves and Project onto wall and floor. A comparison panel sets a camera view, where the face stays in the image, against the LiDAR view, where only points and coordinates remain. After 30 seconds without input the screen switches to an attract mode in which people walk by themselves and the steps cycle. It keeps working offline as a PWA and has a Korean/English toggle.

Highlights
- Five-step walkthrough from sensor points to projected waves, driven by the visitor's own finger.

- Installed beside the exhibit in September 2026, followed by a Korean/English toggle.
- An offline PWA that runs on the TV's built-in browser, which is older than Chromium 84.
